BAGEL / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Bagel is software you run on your own machine. Extelligence does not receive your robot data.

Updated October 4, 2026

The Bagel software and plugins.

The Bagel MCP server, its Docker images, and the Bagel plugins for Codex and Claude run on your hardware. There is no account, no telemetry and no analytics: Extelligence collects no personal data through them. The plugins only connect your AI client to the Bagel server running on your machine (by default http://localhost:8000/mcp).

Robot data.

Bagel processes the files and live streams you point it at, on your machine, and writes its outputs (query results, clips, exports) to a directory on your machine. Nothing is uploaded to Extelligence.

What leaves your machine: only what you configure.

Bagel sends data to another service only when you set it up to: notifications to your own Slack webhook, results to your own database, MQTT broker or cloud storage, or a pipeline that streams to a service you choose. If you configure a decision gate to use TypeSafe's hosted model, each decision sends a statistical summary of the data window being judged (not the raw log) to TypeSafe; you can point that gate at your own endpoint or a local model instead. Each of those services handles the data under its own privacy terms. Those are your credentials, your endpoints, your choice.

The AI agent is yours too.

Bagel is an MCP server; the AI client you attach (Claude, Codex, a local model) sees the questions you ask and the results Bagel returns, under that provider's privacy terms. With a local model, nothing leaves your machine at all.

This website.

trybagel.com is hosted on Vercel, which records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested page and time) to deliver the site, keep it secure and troubleshoot it. The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies of its own; the newsletter form is provided by Kit. If you subscribe to the newsletter, Kit receives your email address and form interactions to send it. Vercel and Kit are the only recipients of website data, and we do not sell or share it with anyone else.

How long data is kept.

Bagel software: Extelligence holds nothing, and your data stays on your machine until you delete it. Hosting logs: kept by Vercel for a short period under its standard retention, then deleted; we keep no copies. Newsletter: your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your choices.

Unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email. To ask what we hold about you, or to have your newsletter data deleted, email us at the address below. Data Bagel processes on your machine is under your control: delete it, or stop the container.

Changes.

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
